EXCLUSIVE: Dice Dixon from ‘Lala’s Full Court Life’ Dishes on Relationships, Sexuality, and Business (By: Jasmine York)

For the most part, Candice “Dice” Dixon has been successful in keeping her life private – or as “private” as one can be – when co-starring on a hit reality TV show (“La La’s Full Court Life”). However, during an exclusive conversation with the reality star, Dice opened up about her love life, sexuality, the in’s and out’s of launching her own clothing line, and a lot more. Keep reading to see what she had to say.

“I’m a very private person. So, the first actual season that we filmed, I didn’t really talk too much about the relationship I was in at the time. I didn’t want the world to know any of that. I just wanted to keep my private life just that, private,” says Dice.

But, following the end of Season 1, Dice was soon asked by producers to open up to become more relatable and help increase the ratings—a proposal that left Dice with a big decision to make.

“So, the break that we had between Season 1 and Season 2 gave me time to really think about it and discuss some things with my family,” says Dice. Ultimately, she decided to come out to the world on an episode during a discussion with Kelly Rowland and her friend Po and received a massive amount of positive feedback and messages as a result.

“You have to be comfortable with who you are. That’s what I learned,” says Dice and she found the unconditional love and support she received from her family to be pivotal as well.

Dice’s new girlfriend has also been supportive of her and has acted as an engine behind the launch of Dice’s clothing line, Roll the Dice.

Some key pieces within Dice’s collection rock the motto “Love Hard,” words that stemmed from a deep dinner conversation Dice shared with her cousin La La and their friend Po, which resulted in them all getting matching tattoos of the phrase on their fingers.

“Whether it’s romantic relationships or friend relationships, whatever it is, everybody loves hard,” says Dice. “Of course, you know someone has to gain that from me with just time and communication and different things like that – but once they get that from me – then that’s just what it is from that point on. But, of course we want that same love reciprocated too.”

When it comes to business, Dice has her close-knit team and they’re working together on expanding. She didn’t wait on investors to believe in her, instead she utilized her own resources to run and fund her own dreams. “Someone told me that if nobody else is going to invest in your brand, you have to invest in yourself,” says Dice and she’s done just that – not only with using her own money to cover expenses – but also by picking people’s brains she knew and even using Google.

And, her advice to others looking to pursue their dreams. Well, Dice put it simply…“you have to start somewhere.”
