The series of Q&A events are created to provide an educational-yet-energetic outlet of industry professionals and individuals who are pursuing careers in the relevant field(s). The industry panelists are established, well-educated professionals who has survived through the pitfalls of the business and are generous in sharing their wealth of information. This time around, the Q&A panel discussed the Fashion and Beauty industries. On the panel, STACKS Magazine welcomed Nachera “Cherry” Brown (Creative MUA and Founder of The Ahmni Makeup Academy), Bernard Love (Creative Director and Co-Owner of KB Creative Group), Kash Howard (Wardrobe Stylist and Owner of Seven74 Boutique), Ressie G (Wardrobe Stylist), “Dallas the Stylist” Wright (Wardrobe Stylist and Fashion Designer, “Lavish Arrogance”), and Janine Carthone (Beauty MUA and MAC Consultant). Gocha Salon was the host location, which is owned by celebrity hair stylist and national educator Gocha Hawkins. Attendees packed the premises eager to listen to the panelists and ask their own business-related questions. A spew of information eased from the Q&A that included various subject areas as college majors and technical certifications, celebrity clientele, networking, merchandising, wardrobe styling, makeup, branding, service rates, and other best practices. Throughout the evening, everyone enjoyed Moreno BHLV champagne sponsored by Grammy Award-nominated producer/Brand Ambassador Drumma Boy, mini-cupcakes by Sweet Shack Shoppe, decorative chocolate-covered strawberries by D’Amore Sweets & Treats, and other delectables. Guests were also treated to large tote bags sponsored by fashion brand Steve Madden. Each bag was filled with goodies donated by our other sponsors, which included Stacks Entertainment, 7 City Events, and Desmick Perkins Inc.
