HomeFeatureFabolous to Release ‘Young OG Project’ on Dec. 25; Signs to Roc Nation admin Tuesday, December 2, 2014 Feature, Music, The Studio Fabolous is now part of the Roc Nation family. Also, the Brooklyn emcee is planning to drop a new album, The Young OG Project on Christmas Day. Fab recently sat down with MTV News. He talked about the upcoming album and its lead single “Lituation.” The word, as he describes, is a situation that can quickly turn up (or get “lit”). “You can come into a situation and it can be [calm] and you can turn it up and get it a little lit. It’s a very aggressive New York street record and I wanted to start with that just to get the feel, and get you there first, [then] the rest of the album will take you different places.” Fab says the album will pay homage to the 90’s era of hip hop. “It was a golden era in hip-hop to me,” Fab said of rolling with ‘90s theme. “It was where I fell in love with hip-hop and really admired everything that was going on within the culture.” This must be why he’s been running with the theme for a minute now. For Fab’s 37th birthday, he held a 90’s theme party that brought out some of that decade’s hottest artists like Lil Kim, Ma$e, and Lil Cease. Others in the building were Swiss Beatz, Remy Ma, Teyana Taylor, and Fab’s girl Emily B. Below are a few photos from Fab’s Instagram page @myfabolouslife.
