HomeEvents‘Gentlemen Quarterly’ Salutes Humanitarians of Montgomery, AL [PHOTOS] admin Monday, December 22, 2014 Events, Feature, The Connect Last Thursday (Dec. 18), the inMMGroup.com held its Gentlemen Quarterly Humanitarian Achievement Award (GQHAA) mixer at BMW of Montgomery in Montgomery, Alabama. Christopher Thomas, event producer and Publisher of inMMGroup, established this event as a way to give recognition to philanthropic-driven men throughout the city of Montgomery. Each recipient of the Gentlemen Quarterly Humanitarian Achievement Award were given a beautiful glass plaque as a token of appreciation for their unyielding dedication to social and civic initiatives within their communities. GQHAA recipients were: Mayor Todd Strange, Judge Calvin Williams, Bernell Mapp, Al Diab, Young O Kim, Laide Dauda, Paul D. Davis, Ron Creel, Michael Murphree, Dickie Blondheim, Delbert Madison and Henry Hernandez. Each recipient got an opportunity to express their gratitude for the award and talk more about the cause(s) they support. To assist Mr. Thomas with the program, there were several award presenters involved. These individuals included Jannah Bailey, Executive Director for Child Protect; Sheyann Webb Christburg, Executive Director for K.E.E.P. Productions and Meesoon Han, Executive Director for A-Keep. A silent auction also took place to help raise donations for Common Ground Montgomery (www.cgmlife.org), which is a non-profit organization dedicated to the revitalization of Montgomery’s Washington Park community and its youth. The silent auction prizes were sponsored by Creek Casino Wetumpka & Atmore, YMCA, Advanced Dental Care – Dr. Jay Bhojwani, La Jolla, Alabama Writers’ Forum, Buckelew’s Clothing for Men, and Chef Ly Fine Cuisines. The GQHAA occurs twice a year, June and December. To nominate someone for June 2015, all submissions must be in between March and April 2015.
