Cavs LeBron James named NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week

Cleveland Cavaliers Forward LeBron James was named the NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played January 19 through January 25. James averaged 27.8 points, 6.8 assists, 6.3 rebounds and 2.25 steals a game. James led the Cavs to a 4-0 record with wins against the Chicago Bulls, Utah Jazz, Charlotte Hornets and Oklahoma City Thunder. James had 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in a 108-94 victory against the Bulls.

James had his best game of the week with 26 points, 9 assists, 7 rebounds and 4 steals in a 106-92 victory against the Jazz. James posted similar numbers with 25 points, 9 assists, 6 rebounds and 4 steals in a 129-90 blowout victory against the Hornets. In a 108-98 victory against The Thunder, James posted 34 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. The Cavs are currently on a six-game winning and have the fifth best record in the East (25-20).

This is James 48th time earning Player of the Week in his career and James was recently voted in as starter for the Eastern Conference in next month’s NBA All-Star Game.
