‘Empire’ Receives Greenlight for Season 2

Fox network know what’s up. Their breakout show “Empire” is a bonafide hit with viewers and thus has been renewed for another season.

After only two episodes, the Lee Daniels and Danny Strong drama series “Empire” is coming back for season two. The show proved itself as a post- “American Idol” entry that quickly became its biggest competitor with a viewership of 9.9 million the first episode. To add insult to injury, the music business drama reeled in more viewers in the second week than the first. Last week’s episode garnered over 10.2 million viewers.

“Empire” is Fox’s strongest debut in three years.
