Faux or fake dreads have become a major fashion trend this past year. There are many advantages to this protective hairstyle including the fact that it allows you to gain the look of real dreads without actually having to dread your real hair. However, many people think that this trend should be left in 2014 since some believe it is an insult to the original Rastafarian culture. This is a trend that probably will not leave 2015 quickly because of its protective nature despite all of the conflict that surrounds it. At the end of the day, if faux dreads work for you, go for it.
