NJ Woman Charged with Murder of Newborn

Woman sets child on fire….

A New Jersey Superior Court Judge set a $500,000 bond for 22 year-old Hyphernkemberly Dorviller after she was charged for setting her newborn baby on fire. Official police documents state that Dorviller has been accused of dousing her newborn daughter with WD-40, setting her on fire and leaving her in the middle of the road to die.

A neighbor contacted police after they saw the fire and, as they approached it, they noticed it was a baby and immediately tried to save the child. Another neighbor came out to assist and held Dorviller until police arrived, however, she denied it was her baby and even stated that she was burning dog waste. The child was still breathing when police arrived and flown to a hospital in Philadelphia were the child died 2 hours later. Although Dorviller has been issued a bond the judge ordered that she is not to be released without a psychiatric evaluation.

Mental health is real and, in my opinion, all parents should be given a psychiatric evaluation before they are able to have children. #WhatDoYouThink
