Davis led the Pelicans to a 2-1 record with wins against the Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets. Davis averaged 31.3 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 4.7 blocks for the week. Davis tied his career-high with 43 points making an amazing 17 out of 23 shots from the field to go along with 10 rebounds and 6 assists in a 114-103 win against the Bucks.
Davis had 15 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 blocks in a 111-91 win against the Nets. In a 118-111 double overtime loss against the Denver Nuggets, Davis flirted with a quadruple-double and recorded 36 points, 14 rebounds, 9 blocks and 7 assists. This was Davis first-time in his three-year NBA career winning the award. Davis is having a career year with career-highs across the board averaging 24.7 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.9 blocks and 1.4 steals.
