Teen abducts 22-month-old in park…

The 15-year-old teen – who kidnapped 22-month-old Owen Wright – was arrested this past Wednesday. He was identified through surveillance video and interviews conducted by locals who witnessed the abduction. The incident happened when Michael Wright – the father of the toddler – left his 3 children (Brenden age 10, Delicia age 8 and the toddler) to play in a park unsupervised.

Police reports state that the kidnapper – who lived near the park – talked to the children for a while before he took the toddler out of the stroller and dashed down the street. Owen’s siblings Delicia and Brenden attempted to chase the kidnapper, however, did not get very far. During the chase, Delicia screams got the attention of 16 year-old Andrew Crane – the grandson of a local store owner – who then came to the rescue. As the boy approached, the teen put the child down in a vacant lot and fled the scene.

The teen’s identity is being withheld because of his age.
