Houston Rockets Guard James Harden was named the NBA Western Conference Player of the Week for games played March 30 through April 5. Harden led the Rockets to a 3-1 week with wins against the Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks and Oklahoma City Thunder. Harden averaged 36.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 2 steals a game for the week. Harden had 31 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in a 99-96 loss to the Toronto Raptors.
Harden scored a career-high 51 points, making an impressive 16 out of 25 shots, 8 out of 9 three-pointers to go along with 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals in 115-111 win against the Kings. In a 108-101 victory against the Mavs, Harden posted 24 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds. Harden scored 41 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, dished out 6 assists with 3 steals in 115-112 against the Thunder. This is Harden third time winning the award this season.
