Tim Duncan Named NBA Western Conference Player Of The Week

San Antonio Spurs Forward Tim Duncan was named the NBA Western Conference Player of the Week, for games played April 6 through April 12. Duncan averaged 17.3 points, 9.8 rebounds, 3.3 blocks and 1.5 steals for the week. Duncan led the Spurs to a 4-0 week with wins against the Oklahoma City Thunder, back to back victories against the Houston Rockets and the Phoenix Suns. Duncan best game was on April 10, when he posted 29 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks in a 104-103 victory against the Rockets.

Duncan blocked Rockets Guard James Harden layup with 2.9 seconds remaining to help the Spurs sneak by the Rockets. Duncan had 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks in 113-88 victory against the Thunder on April 7. Duncan recorded 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in a 107-91 victory against the Suns on April 12. The Spurs are currently on a 11 game winning streak and has been one of the hottest teams in the league in the last month.
