This is true especially with banking. Instead of logging onto your favorite banking app, now banks are offering you ways to move money around via text message. Wells Fargo Bank is now introducing Text Transfers. Through a quick text message, you can transfer funds between your Wells Fargo accounts. When your balance drops below a predetermined limit, you will receive an alert via text. From the text, you will have the opportunity to transfer funds while on the go. If you’re a Text Banking customer, simply: 1. Text “TRA + [$ amount]” to WELLS (93557) 2. You’ll get a prompt to verify your transfer That’s it. The transfer will appear in your account almost immediately. If you don’t have a low balance alert set up on your phone, here’s how to do it: 1. Sign on to wellsfargo.com. Or, if you’re already signed into Online Banking, click the “Back to Previous Page” button. 2. Click on the Messages & Alerts tab and select Set Up/Modify Alerts. 3. Click the link to Modify alerts for your checking or savings account, and enter in your low balance limit. 4. Make sure to validate or add your email address or mobile phone number.
