‘Empire’ Strikes Back at Ex-Pimp’s Billion Dollar Lawsuit

As previously reported, an ex-pimp and drug dealer by the name of Ron Newt filed a billion dollar lawsuit against the producers of “Empire” and the FOX network. Newt claimed that his documentary “Bigger Than Big” was seen by Terrence Howard and that he and Howard discussed his film a while back at the Four Seasons Hotel. He claimed that FOX stole his life story.

Well, the network has responded and says Newt’s claims holds no merit. FOX states that Newt doesn’t even own the copyrights to his own story or documentary. And, if any similarities exist between the show and his life, his lawsuit is crap because he doesn’t own copyrights to his own work.

 
Fox is asking that the lawsuit be dismissed.
