Kanter agreed to a four-year deal worth $70 million with the Thunder. Kanter has the player option on the fourth year. The Thunder received Kanter last season from the Utah Jazz in a trade. Kanter appeared in 26 games for the Thunder, averaging 18.7 points and 11 rebounds a game. For the year, Kanter averaged 15.5 points and 8.9 rebounds. Kanter numbers went up when he was traded to the Thunder, his field goal percentage went from 49.1% to 56.6% after the trade. The Thunder finally got a reliable center that can score and rebound, so they made the right decision to match the offer sheet. Kanter is 23 years old, he should continue to get better.
