The Indiana Fever defeated the New York Liberty 84-72 and ended the Liberty five-game winning streak. Shenise Johnson had a game-high 19 points and team-high 8 rebounds for the Fever. Briann January had 12 points and game-high 8 assists for the Fever. Tamika Catchings posted 11 points, 5 rebounds and team-high 3 steals for Indiana. Shavonte Zellous came off the bench with 11 points for Indiana.

Tina Charles led the Liberty with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Epiphanny Prince had 17 points, team-high 4 assists and team-high 3 steals for the Liberty. Tanisha Wright posted 13 points and 3 assists for the Liberty. Swin Cash had a quiet game for New York only scoring 2 points and grabbing 4 rebounds. Cash is currently averaging 11.3 points and 5.5 rebounds for the season.

The Liberty are 12-6 and still have the best record in the Eastern Conference. The Fever are 10-8 and have the fourth best record in East. The Fever trail the Liberty by two games and are on a two-game winning streak. If the Indiana Fever continue to get better, they could finish with the best record in the East before the season ends.
