HomeFeatureEA Sports Madden NFL 16 Top Cornerback’s Named Abner Jackson III Wednesday, August 5, 2015 Feature, Sports, The Game Madden NFL 16 recently named their top CB player ratings and Seattle Seahawks Richard Sherman was ranked the highest Cornerback this year. Sherman is ranked a 97 overall and was the Madden NFL 15 cover athlete. Sherman has a 99 zone coverage and most Quarterbacks don’t throw his way in real-life. Darrelle Revis also has a 97 overall like Sherman and a 99 man coverage. Revis won his first Super Bowl last season with the New England Patriots and has returned to the New York Jets. In New York Revis Island was created and Revis can shut down both sides of the field. Indianapolis Colts Vontae Davis was the third ranked CB with a 95 rating. Davis has a 97 man coverage, is a shutdown corner and also excels in run support. Charles Harris Jr. of the Denver Broncos was the fourth ranked CB and has a 94 overall rating. Harris has a 98 man coverage, 97 zone coverage and made his first Pro Bowl last season. Finishing out the top five on this honorable list is Sean Smith of the Kansas City Chiefs with a 91 overall rating. Smith has a 93 man coverage and 95 zone coverage. None of the players on this list finished in the top three in the league in interceptions. Normally that wouldn’t be a good thing but that’s a sign Quarterbacks rarely throw their way. If more Quarterbacks challenged them they would get more interceptions and lead the league in that category. Revis and Sherman have the same rating, but I think Revis should be ranked higher since he covers the best Wide Receiver for the whole game. Sherman only covers one side of the field and may not line up against the best receiver each game. Maybe next season Revis or Sherman won’t be ranked the same and best CB can be settled between the two.
