HomeFeatureHawks Sign Jason Richardson + Jason Terry Re-signs w/ Rockets Abner Jackson III Thursday, August 20, 2015 Feature, Sports, The Game The Atlanta Hawks signed veteran Guard/Forward Jason Richardson and terms of the deal hasn’t been disclosed. Richardson is a 13-year veteran and the Hawks will be his sixth NBA team. Richardson has played for the Golden State Warriors, Charlotte Bobcats, Phoenix Suns, Orlando Magic and Philadelphia 76ers. Richardson only appeared in 19 games last season averaging 9.1 points and 3.5 rebounds with the 76ers in 21.9 minutes a game. The Hawks have a lot of shooting guards and small forwards on their current roster, Richardson might not get a lot of playing time. If Richardson can stay healthy and get some playing time, he is known for his scoring. Guard Jason Terry agreed to resign a one year-deal for $1.5 million with the Houston Rockets. Terry averaged 7.0 points and 1.9 assists in 21.3 minutes per game last season for the Rockets. Terry started all 17 playoff games for the Rockets averaging 9.2 points and 2.8 assists in 28.6 minutes a game. Terry will be entering his 17th NBA season and will be 38 years old once the season starts. The Utah Jazz and New Orleans Pelicans made an attempt to sign Terry. Terry was one of the Rockets key role players last season and has NBA championship experience that can be valuable in any locker room.
