WHY DO WE STILL CARE IF REALITY SHOWS ARE SCRIPTED OR NOT?  This is a question that has been bothersome for some time. As much as viewers go back and forth about whether or not story lines are organically happening or if they are made up, at this point in reality television viewing history, can we honestly say that we care?!

Apparently, Sincere of “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” felt some type of way after appearing on season one. According to RadarOnline, the co-star revealed that he secretly quit the show because he felt the show was becoming too much like “scripted” drama. He says he exited from his contract after only two months.

“The way I was cast was different than how they portrayed me,” he claimed. “They had me be a shit-stirrer. I’m a businessman. They wanted me to be viewed a different way. I didn’t like what was going on.”

Sincere…c’mon son.

The LHH franchises has been going on for several years now. It doesn’t take rocket science to see and understand why certain scenes are shown a certain way. With television, comes editing. There’s only so much time allotted for the shows’ airing. Full story lines and conversations are never shown because of the need for producers to get the most out of their short time frame. So, it’s hard to believe that Sincere was not aware of what he was signing on to.

LISTEN UP potential cast members, being on the show has the potential to tarnish your brand. Please understand this before signing on the dotted line. Remember, for us viewers, it’s all entertainment. We could care less if it’s scripted or not. As long as we are being entertained on Monday nights, that’s all that matters.
