Judge Joe Brown to serve 5 Days…

Judge Joe Brown, who’s known for being a famous television judge for years, will be spending time behind bars. Back in March 2014, former Judge Joe Brown was jailed after court officials stated that while representing a client he caused an outburst in the courtroom. He was sentenced to one day in jail, but after a verbal exchange Magistrate Judge Harold Horne upped his sentence to five days.

“Excuse me, on what authority do you sit, by the way?” Brown asked Horne, according to an audio recording of the proceedings. “… This tribunal on a General Sessions Court’s authority is insufficient to establish you. Therefore, I challenge your authority to hear it. … This is a circus, sir.”

Brown is now in custody after turning himself him to serve his 5 day sentence after nearly over a year.
