T.Y. Hilton and Colts Agree to $65M Extension

Wide Receiver T.Y. Hilton agreed to a five-year $65 million extension with the Indianapolis Colts. Hilton receives a guaranteed $39 million from the Colts. Hilton had 82 catches for 1,345 yards and 7 touchdowns last season. Hilton was selected to his first NFL Pro Bowl last season and has been Quarterback Andrew Luck favorite target for the Colts.

The Colts drafted a wide receiver in the first round of this year’s NFL Draft and signed veteran wide receiver Andre Johnson from the Houston Texans. Hilton also had 82 receptions for 1,083 yards and 5 touchdowns during the 2013 season. Hilton $39 million guaranteed is more money than any other Colts player and almost twice than what they are receiving in guaranteed money. Hilton is now under contract at least until the 2020 season and the Colts are hoping they are headed in the right direction to win a Super Bowl.
