By: Antoinette Alston, contributing intern Forbes has just released its top 20 Hip-Hop Cash Kings 2015 list, and you won’t believe the top three artists. Ranking in at No. 1 is the infamous Diddy who grossed $60 million this year. Although Diddy has not been performing much lately; his clothing line Sean John, Revolt TV network, alkaline water brand Aquahydrate, and his latest adventure called Ciroc Vodka made him the highest earning Hip-Hop artist for the 2015 year. Next on the list is the legendary Hip-Hop mogul, Jay Z who makes this his second year coming close to the number one spot earning a good $56 million this year. Jay Z earned his fortune by touring with is wife, Beyoncé (22 shows to be exact), maintaining his entertainment company Roc Nation and newest Armand de Brignac champagne allowed him to solidify his top No. 2 spot on the list. Drake is doing it big this year, with the drop of his album “If Your Reading This Its To Late,” Apple, Sprite, and Nike endorsements, and his 50 date concert performances, he ranks in at No. 3 earning a whooping $39.5 million, beating Dr. Dre who earned $33 million. Don’t feel bad for Dr. Dre earning the No. 4 spot on the list. Last year Dr. Dre earned $620 million with his $3 billion Apple indorsed, Beats by Dre ¾making him the highest paid Hip-Hop musician ever. His recent earnings for Straight Outta Compton and the 16-year wait release of his third album, Compton will reflect on next years list. Pharrell Williams takes the No. 5 spot on the list with $32 million. Pharrell, as you might know him, earned this spot by his diverse concerts, touring, creating hit music, and being a panelist on The Voice. He also has two clothing lines Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream.
