WTH Going On With Gilbert Arenas?

Every other day it seems like ex-NBA star Gilbert Arenas is in the news with money issues. Not that he’s broke or anything, it’s just that those closest to him is ripping him off!

A former personal assistant, John A. White, was recently convicted of stealing more than $2.1 million from Arenas. A federal jury found that, from 2008 to 2011, White was illegally wiring money from Arenas’ bank accounts. The money stolen was not reported on White’s and his wife’s joint tax return either. Therefore, resulting in more charges for White for filing a false tax return.

The judge could sentence White up to 30 years in federal prison.

But if things couldn’t get any crazier for Arenas, the ongoing financial battle with his former fiance’, Laura Govan, just hit the fan.

Word on the net is that Gilbert Arenas has released his legal goons on Ms. Govan. In a document issued by Arenas’ attorney’s office, the former Orlando Magic baller is forcing Govan and the kids to move out of his home within 60 days. If not, he will ask the court to evict them from the premises. Arenas is fed up with “cutting the check” for all of Laura’s expenses, which is an estimated $16,000 a month. However, he’s willing to pay her first and last month’s rent and security deposit on a new spot. Plus, he says she can pay her car note with some of child support money she receives. Oooh, that’s cold blooded.

He has a point though. Plus, he seems like a good dad.

Even though Gilbert Arenas allegedly has a newborn by some chick name Lindsay Faulk, hopefully these financial nuances go away soon. It’s true…mo’ money, mo’ problems.
