Toddler Kicked to Death

20 year-old Alicia Goemaat will be charged with the murder of her boyfriend’s 17-month old son. Police reports state that Goemaat was babysitting for her boyfriend Derek while he ran errands. Goemaat, who has a child of her own and that was also in the home at the time, stated that she became angry with the toddler after he got upset and began to fight her son about a toy. Goemaat stated that she kicked baby Drue in the stomach knocking him down to the ground and then placed him in his playpen.
When father Derek arrived back home, he attempted to do CPR, however, the child passed away before the medical examiners and other authorities arrived. Derek’s mother, Maria Blanco, told “Inside Edition” that her son is in shock.
“He just keeps crying, ‘She killed my little boy! She killed my little boy!'” she said. “We knew the baby as being a healthy, happy little guy. We’re in a state of disbelief.”
Gomaat is currently being held on a $1 million bail.
