Last Thursday (Nov. 12), Beats By Dr. Dre presented Ty Dolla $ign’s Free TC listening event at SBE’s posh West Hollywood lounge, HYDE. Guests were treated to a premium open bar along with signature cocktails called “Free TC” and “Blasé,” as well as, hors d’oeuvres of lobster rolls, truffle fries, Kobe beef sliders, and more. DJ Sean G was on the 1s and 2s. Celebrity guests in the building included Wiz Khalifa, Mila J., T.I. & Tiny, Sevyn Streeter, Joe Moses, Melody Thornton, Chevy and Ricky P (TGOD), Khalil, actor Leon Thomas, radio personalities Devi Dev & Fuzzy, and Ty’s sister, AngelGold, who is also an emerging artist. #BeatsPresents executive and journalist, Carl Cherry, moderated the one-on-one Q&A with Ty Dolla $ign. He discussed his inspiration for the album and how the unique collaborations came about. The Q&A ended with an emotional message from his incarcerated brother, TC.
