“GROWING UP HIP HOP” is next up on WE tv’s roll-out of new shows. This reality show will feature the children of several hip-hop legends: Rev Run, Master P, Dame Dash, James DeBarge, Jam Master Jay, and Pepa (of Salt-n-Pepa). “Growing Up Hip Hop” premieres Thursday, January 7th at 10pm ET/PT and follows Angela Simmons, Romeo Miller, Damon “Boogie” Dash, Kristinia DeBarge, TJ Mizell and Egypt Criss. According to WE tv’s official bio, the show will focus on “their love and work lives intertwined, each member of this this tight-knit group is facing a surprising challenge that will test their loyalties within the group and even relationships with their own mothers and fathers.” Recently, WE tv held a NYC premiere of “Growing Up Hip Hop.” Attendees included: Angela Simmons, James Wright, Sandra “Pepa” Denton, Marquise Jackson, Romeo, Master P, Diggy Simmons, Cheryl “Salt” James, TJ Mizell, Raven Symone, Damon “Boogie” Dash, Taye Diggs, Egypt Criss and more.
