Ok, there’s something about this story that don’t make sense… According to reports, the jeweler Aydin & Co filed a lawsuit with claims that rapper Tip (aka T.I.) stiffed them for $700,000. The debt is an accumulation over many years of providing Tip with fine jewels. Aydin & Co delivered a 18.5 karat white gold bracelet, a rinf and yellow gold rosary to Tip sometime last year (2014). He paid them $20K at the time but hasn’t paid off his balance of $44K. Here’s where things get sketchy… In the lawsuit, the jeweler also claims that they’ve been dealing with Tip for almost a decade and has a total debt of approximately $700K. Huh? What business in they’re right mind will continue to give jewelry to a customer who hasn’t paid in 10 years?!?! That doesn’t make any sense. Was the jewelry on loan to Tip for photo shoots or videos and he forgot to return the items? Even so, one would think that Aydin & Co would have sent him to collections or filed a lawsuit by now.
