Serato’s Pyro mobile app just made DJing a party that much easier. The new app, which is free on Apple, takes your favorite tunes and automatically beat-matches them. Songs are then mixed and played until the playlist runs out. Pyro automatically scans your iTunes library when the app is first launched. The app also works well with Spotify and any of the pre-existing playlists you have stored. Well, Serato Pyro made a big thump during Grammy weekend. The iOS music player app hosted a launch party during the 10th Annual Roots Jam Session. The four hour jam session included performances by The Roots (of course), John Legend, Kehlani, Tori Kelly, Bilal, Jeremih, and rapper/actor Nelly. Guests got an opportunity to curate a special playlist, which is now available exclusively on Serato Pyro. The free download also includes playlists from Diplo, Steve Aoki, The Roots, DJ Jazzy Jeff, A-Trak and more. Check out a few photos from the jam session:
