Akon recently stepped up for NBA star Lebron James after a critical comment was made by the Minister Louis Farrakhan. During a Nation of Islam event in Detroit, Farrakhan spewed statements about how the NBA is similar to modern day slavery. He believes that NBA players are “bought and sold” just the same were slaves by white slave masters. At some point, Farrakhan compared Lebron James to a slave. Akon felt that Farrakhan’s statement was BS. “Like, to me that’s all bulls**t. That’s bulls**t! Listen, Lebron is chasing an opportunity to better hisself, his family, and the people he influences. Listen, we all slaves in that case. I’m a slave if you look at it.” Do you agree with Akon?
