It’s spring break time! For families, this is the time of year where mom’s and dad’s pack up the kids and go on vacation. The hassle, however, is timing and cost. According to our contributing writer, Heidi Burney, parents should already have a plan in place for the yearly family trip. The key factor is the kid’s school schedule! A couple of tips to help you plan: 1. Place your kid’s school calendar and breaks in your personal calendar. 2. Do your kids have a random Monday off for “professional development”? Great time for an extended weekend vacation. 3. Have a break in September-November? Disneyland and Disneyworld are great places to go with no lines and you can get hotels fora cheaper rate. 4. Try to book the trips at least 4-6 months in advanced to secure your spot. Especially if it is Spring Break! 5. Surf the Internet for deals on your triplocation! http://www.mousesavers.com/ is a cool site for folks going to Disney Parks. 6. Always check https://www.google.com/flights/ and sites like https://www.expedia.com/ for flights and vacation packages. 7. Start saving what you can each paycheck for these trips. Think about gas money, meals, tickets to amusement parks, hotel fees, swimwear etc. Happy Planning!!! Photo credit: Deadline.com
