Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. is the king of flossin’. With the money he has, there’s a lot he can do other than waste it all on material things. Investing is the most sensible thing he can do at this point and, apparently, that’s what he plans to do. During a recent press conference, Floyd Mayweather made mention of someday owning a NBA team. “You guys know I like to bet on sports, but I’m looking forward to stepping back from betting in sports now. I’m looking forward to probably getting into ownership of an NBA team.” The reporter pressed him on revealing what team he’d want to own a percentage of, but Floyd Mayweather couldn’t answer. It’s unsure if he truly didn’t know which NBA team or is simply keeping it a secret. At one point, Floyd Mayweather was interested in the L.A. Clippers, but Steve Ballmer purchased the team. The heavyweight champ’s pockets just wasn’t fat enough.
