In celebration of Women’s History Month, several noted Miami natives were honored over the weekend for their contributions to community, business and arts. PHINC, a network for professional women, hosted the “Glitz & Girl Power Awards Dinner” at Miami, FL’s Briza On The Bay. NFL All Pro Player Bryant McKinnie and popular South Florida artist Kai Dot hosted the black tie event. This year, honorees included Sybrina Fulton, Founder of the Trayvon Martin Foundation, Alessandra Gold, Creator of KruZin Footwear, Natalie LaRose, International Pop artist, Marlo Gold, CEO of D3M Licensing, Jill Strada, Director of Branding and Programming for Cox Media, Brianna Perry, hip hop artist and star of Oxygen Network’s reality show the ;Sisterhood of Hip Hop’, Trina, international hip hop artist & philanthropist, and Serena Williams, tennis superstar/designer/actress. “There are powerful women everywhere,” says PHINC CEO Rockstarr Diva. “This month is about celebrating the women that empower the female race. In numbers there is power, and this event is no different. We have chosen to honor women who not only excel in the professional world, but who also do a tremendous job in giving back to women and girls in the community.” Special performances and appearances included Kymistri, Soulstress, Macy Kate, International Pop artist, Pleasure P, Grammy Nominated singer, Stichiz, On-Air personality on 103.5 The Beat.
