The Atlanta Braves and Major League Baseball are being sued by the family of a businessman who died at Turner Field. Gregory Murrey, 60, died after falling 40 feet into the lower-level stands while attending the Braves vs New York Yankees game in August 2015. Murrey’s family is accusing the defendants of disregarding fans’ safety by installing a guard rail 12 inches short of industry standard. The family believes that if the rail was 42 inches tall, instead of 30 inches, Murrey would not have met his tragic death. A witness states that Murrey lost his balance after he jumped up to boo Yankee player, Alex Rodriquez. Out of the 24 deaths that has occured at MLB ballparks since 1969, most of them has happened in Atlanta. No comment from The Atlanta Braves on the lawsuit. Source: DailyMail
