Burger King’s slogan is “have it your way,” but not literally for the employees. 54-year-old William Simmons Sr was recently arrested in West Palm Beach, FL for stealing from his gig at Burger King. The Palm Beach Police Dept says Simmons stole $20,000 in food and $3,191.10 from the cash registers after he started working there on March 29. Authorities states that Simmons would leave the back door unlocked and then return to the fast food spot and re-enter without any alarm sounding off. Video surveillance cameras caught Simmons on tape. Simmons tried to justify stealing the large sums of burgers by telling police that “everyone made sandwiches to take home with them.” After further questioning, Simmons revealed that he took the money because “he owed some people money for drugs.” Simmons was arrested and is being held on a $15,000 bond. He is a registered sex offender and has been arrested seven times on various charges. Source: Sun-Sentinel.com
