Awww… Ernie Johnson and wife, Sherill, had a pleasant surprise after purchasing a last minute lottery ticket. Mr. Johnson stopped by a local convenient store and decided to buy one $120 Million Cash Spectacular lottery ticket. He was on his way to get the two some dinner when he had a quick change of plans. After he realized he’d won $1 million, he immediately returned home to tell his wife the good news. “I turned around and went back home,” Johnson said. “Winning a million dollars delayed our appetite.” Mrs. Johnson didn’t believe her husband initially. Since it close to April Fool’s Day, she shrugged it off as just a joke. Eventually, the news kicked in and Sherill and Ernie called their pregnant daughter, who fainted after hearing they’d won. “She was OK. We were at my grandchild’s birthday party, and it was at a firehouse in a room you can use for public events, so the paramedics were right there,” Ernie said. “She was fine within a couple minutes, so it’s all good now.” The Johnsons said the winnings will go to the church and the remainder …well, they plan to consult a financial advisor.
