Although the timing of Rick Ross’s emoji pack release may be a bit off – in our opinion it would have been more effective when the “pears” took over social media – the world can now join in on the fun with the biggest bawse himself. On Thursday, Rick Ross posted the announcement on Instagram notifying all of his fans to head over to RickRossEmoji.com. Ross has teamed up with Moji Keyboard on the new set of emojis. He now joins the likes of Wiz Khalifa, Fetty Wap, Amber Rose, Kim Kardashian, and others who too have stamped their likeness on this messaging phenomenon. A few updates include his current house arrest ankle bracelet, as well as, Ross making it rain with a hand full of pears. On Snapchat, Ross hints that his daughter is bossing up and managing the emoji venture. We’re not sure to what extent is her involvement. But, it’s cool to see him teaching his offspring about business, entrepreneurship and such. Fun Fact: For those that don’t know the history of the emoji, they were developed in Japan in the 1990s. A Japanese mobile phone company developed the original set of 172 pictographic images. Nowadays, emojis are part of the Unicode Standard and there are over 110,000 characters total. Emojis are governed by the Unicode Consortium, which membership includes Microsoft, Google, Apple, Adobe, Yahoo, and Oracle.
