Rapper Maurice Young aka Trick Daddy aka T-Double-D is reported to be joining the cast of “Love & Hip Hop: Miami.” The Miami location is the latest in the show’s multi-million dollar franchise. Joining him as well is Premadonna, the self-made waist trainer guru that showed up briefly in season 4 of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.” What strikes us as odd about Trick Daddy’s agreement to do the reality show is that he’s a certified street dude that talks about real life issues in his music and personal livelyhood. As most dudes of his caliber try to stay far away from drama, it surprises us that Trick is willing to place himself in the televised heartbeat of ratchet TV. Mona Scott-Young, executive producer of the show, must have made this a VERY lucrative opportunity that Trick could not pass on. Trick is an entertaining character and, this doesn’t mean he won’t do a great job on LHHM, Miami is a different kind of place. You have the glitzy, rich South Beach side, but you also have the non-glamorous side of Miami. Things can get real tricky once cameras start rolling on those mean streets. Let’s hope Trick and the others cast not glorify the negative, but shine as much positivity on the city as bright as the Florida sun. One Response
