Rap icon Nasir Jones aka Nas has put on his executive producer hat for a film festival favorite, “The Land.” Starring Erykah Badu, Machine Gun Kelly, Michael Kenneth Williams, and others, ‘The Land’ is a modern day street tale that explores the world of “molly.” The story is about four teenage boys, from Cleveland, Ohio, whose love for skateboarding urges them to find a way to make their dream life come true. They get introduced to the molly drug as a way out. However, that’s when the boys get caught up with a local drug queen-pin and their brotherhood is ultimately tested. ‘The Land’ was written and directed by Steven Caple Jr. ‘The Land’ opens in theaters and VOD on July 29, 2017. The official soundtrack to the film will be released the same day on Mass Appeal.
