Kanye West appeared on the Steve Harvey Morning Show with a few things on his mind: The Life of Pablo, Yeezy’s, and his impact on the future. As he prepares for second solo tour, The Life of Pablo, West wants to make the same impact as his previous one. Visually set the bar for artistry and give fans more than a spectacle of some sorts. West’s last concert tour, The Yeezus Tour, had the second highest grossing leg of a tour in 2013, beating out Paull McCartney’s Out There! Tour. West’s “end of the world” themed tour, although out-of-this-world, was majorly responsible for setting him back $53 million. This is how much he stated that he has spent on various creative ventures. Well, West is concerned that he may not be able to see his vision through this time around without the financial help from investors. One person West says he’s talked to several times is Walt Disney. “I think that was a little moment of possibility that I was able to express for the eight times that I’ve met with Walt Disney,” he says, “and said, ‘Look man, I ain’t got no more money at this point. I’ve done shot films. I’ve done fashion. Can you just help me put together a production company that I can make some more dope stuff for the world?’ And they look and they start reading TMZ and talking about, I say, ‘What about the fact that I’m your son’s idol?'” West main goal is to inspire others the way in which Walt Disney inspired him as a kid. “My tour game is strong,” he says. “My tour game is unprecedented. We’re gonna go out in September I believe. We’re just working on some of the ideas right now. I’m trying to literally inspire these kids the way Disney inspired me, the way I saw the original Star Wars.” During the interview, West also talks about the pricing of his Yeezy clothing line and his goal to lower prices. He admits that the price points in the initial season of the line was not his fault. He understands kids can’t afford to pay thousands of dollars on clothing. Therefore, he’s determined to lower the prices. “That first season, I wasn’t in charge for none of those prices,” he says. “Mark my words. Please mark my words. I am coming for they neck. I am about to drop these prices in a way that I can connect to the Kanye that I was when I was 14 years old and my mom could barely afford it.” Listen to the interview above.
