Rapper/Producer Big K.R.I.T. announced via Twitter that he has left Def Jam. No word yet on his reason for leaving the label, but this adjustment allows K.R.I.T. to move forward with other projects under his own imprint. The Mississippi native recently dropped 12 For 12, a mixtape full of freestyles. He released the project by giving fans one track every hour for 12 hours. K.R.I.T.’s previous mixtape It’s Better With Time was released under Def Jam in October 2015. He signed to Def Jam after dropping 2010’s K.R.I.T Wuz Here. Since then, he’s released two albums Live From The Underground (2012) and Cadillactica (2014).
