Two women and a 63-year-old man were caught smuggling $23 million worth of cocaine into Australia and captured their entire trip on Instagram. Twenty eight year-old Isabelle Lagace, 22-year-old Melina Roberge, and Andre Tamine, all from Quebec, Canada, was arrested by the Australian Federal Police for smuggling 95 kilos. The street value is estimated at A$31 million ($23 million). The trio has been charged with importing a commercial quantity of cocaine and could face the maximum penalty of life in prison. The Australian authorities captured the trio aboard the MS Sea Princess cruise ship. The cruise is a two-month trip that begin in England and travel to North American, Caribbean and South America. Lagace and Roberge documented their journey with candid photos plastered on their Instagram timeline. At some point, authorities identified the trio as “high-risk passengers” and requested assistance by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, New Zealand Customs Service and the Canadian Border Services Agency.
