When things go left, play the blame game. This may have been Clifford “Tip” Harris’s intention when he put up an Instagram post, which was eventually deleted. The post blasted Charles Hughes, which is Tip’s (former) business partner. “Attn. Attn.!!!! Everybody This is Charles. He is NOT associated with me or my company in any capacity. He IS NOT authorized to book anything on me or my company’s behalf. We have NO dealings nor partnerships outside of my restaurant Scales925 (which was a HUGE mistake in hindsight) DO NOT call him about any of my business. If it ain’t Clay, Doug, KT, Hannah, C-Rodd, Gilly, or G Roberson it ain’t legit!!! This message has been written by, endorsed,&approved by #TheKingBitch #FuqWhoDontLikeIt #SeeMeWhenUSeeMe #NeverDisrespectOurBrand #LivesandFreedomsLostBehindOURLegacy #WhatWePutTogetherMayNOMANTakethUnder #HustleGangOverErrrrthang “ The post went up after news broke that Tip’s Scales 925 restaurant was served with eviction papers. Their landlord told Atlanta’s WSBTV that the restaurant owners owe $1 million in unpaid rent. In addition to unpaid rent, Scales 925 was also in the news for not paying its employees. Back in July, twelve former employees filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Atlanta. Scales 925 had its official ribbon cutting ceremony in early 2015. It opened its doors in May 2015. It’ll be interesting to see if Tip sues his former business partner for mismanagement of restaurant funds. He better. If he does, this would help clear Tip’s name and help retain an upstanding reputation in the business community. 2 Responses Rhonda Friday, August 12, 2016 Maybe using Charles was the problem.
