Atlanta rapper Shawty Lo, born Carlos Walker, was killed in an apparent hit-and-run accident on 1-285 near Cascade Road exit. The accident happened early Wednesday morning after leaving the Blue Flame Lounge. Atlanta Police say Walker’s vehicle, a 2016 Audi, struck a tree and the vehicle overturned. The impact caused the vehicle to catch fire. Walker was ejected from the vehicle and died on the scene. Two women were also in the vehicle were injured and rushed to the hospital. Their present condition and identities are unknown. Walker started his own rap label and group D4L, which made a huge impact on southern rap scene with “Laffy Taffy” in 2007. Branching out from being the CEO of D4L Records, Walker went on to release several hits, including “Foolish” and “Dey Know.” Walker made headlines in 2013 when his television show “All My Babies’ Mamas” was close to becoming a reality. As Oxygen Media prepared to produce to show, the network pulled the plug due the negative backlash. Walker soon started a petition to help save the show. Walker, 40, had 11 children with 10 baby mothers.
