The late Tupac Shakur is nominated for the 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The hip-hop legend joins an eclectic group of artists, which include Pearl Jam, Depeche Mode, Bad Brains, Jane’s Addiction, Electric Light Orchestra, and Joan Baez.

Shakur’s being nominated for the first time. To be nominated, an artist or group must have released their first recording no later than 1991 (or 25 years after the release of their first commercially available record), according to Billboard. Rap group N.W.A. represented for the west coast as well and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.

Fans of Tupac Shakur can cast their vote, starting today (Oct. 18) through Dec. 5 at www.rockhall.com. Individuals can cast one vote per day up until the deadline.

Other acts nominated this year includes Chaka Khan, Chic, J. Geils Band, Janet Jackson, Joe Tex, Kraftwerk, MC5, The Cars, The Zombies and Yes.
