Alicia Keys’ latest musical effort is HERE. This album is Keys sixth LP and an ode to her beloved city of New York. The project is a follow up to her higly successful Girl on Fire, which was released in 2012. HERE is a very personal and honest project. Keys’ one and only feature is A$AP Rocky, who shows up on “Blended Family (What You Do for Love).” One day before her album dropped, Keys released a short film called The Gospel. The culmination of song and visual showcases what it’s like to live in a complex and courageous city. Keys also gives insight on her experiences growing up in NYC. “This album is so much about life, New York City, us as people, all the stories I saw growing up,” she explained. “It sounds like the New York that I know.
