R&B legend Mary J. Blige had an exclusive sit down with Robin Roberts today on “Good Morning America.” In the interview, Mary talked about her forthcoming album and the reason behind the split with her 12-year marriage from husband/manager Kendu Issacs. When asked about her estranged husband’s request for $129,000 in monthly spousal support, Mary urges women to always stay abreast on what’s happening around them. “Well my messaged to those women who are going through a similar situation, is that you can not rely on people to handle your business. You have to handle your business. You have to take responsibility and stay on top of it because things like this will happen if you don’t.” “Surround yourself with good people. Of course, you need people that will help you. But, they can’t do everything for you. You have to be in the mix of it.” Mary J Blige is currently touring city to city with Maxwell on the King and Queen of Hearts Tour. For information on upcoming dates, visit ticketmaster.com.
