Brooklyn rapper Young M.A. is making waves, largely due to her hit record “Ooouuu.” The record has shot up the charts recently landing in the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The popularity of the single is evident and worthy. Female rap peers Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma even blessed an “Ooouuu” remix. With such a hot record, her growing fan base wonders what’s next for the 24-year-old. In a recent interview with Fuse, Young M.A. tells them that she is working on her debut album, Her Story. The album is due sometime in 2017. She shares that – besides letting listeners into her world – Her Story will represent New York in realest way possible. “It’s definitely going to be a story, that’s why it’s called Her Story,” the rapper says. “Everybody knows that how I spit: I story tell. It’s going to feel like you’re in my world and definitely feel like Brooklyn—you’re going to get Brooklyn on that album. A lot of people are going to be able to relate a lot of things on it. I’m going to get real personal.” One way Young M.A. plans to maintain the New York sound on her album is by working with music producer Swizz Beatz. “That was somebody I wanted to work with. If I had to pick out of all producers, he was the top guy because he always had that New York sound. I always thought Swizz Beatz was crazy.” To watch more of Young M.A.’s interview with Fuse, click HERE.
