Hip-hop artist Travis Scott is being sued by his former management firm for $2 million. LCAR Management, which is owned by former label executive Lyor Cohen, is suing Travis Scott for breach of contract. Reports state that the rapper signed a three-year contract with LCAR in 2014 and agreed to hand over 15 percent of his earnings. LCAR claims that they are owed up to $2 million, but have only received $37,000 from Scott. LCAR is requesting that a proper accounting of Scott’s earnings be established, so that they can determine what is rightfully owed. A source told TMZ that Scott feels like this lawsuit is “ridiculous” and that Cohen and LCAR “weren’t lifting a finger for him” and that “he was managing his own career…so he left for a better management company.” Scott has been in the news a lot lately. A crazed fan jumped off the balcony level at Scott’s “Bird’s Eye View Tour” and broke his leg. The incident is being investigated. Lyor Cohen is now the Global Head of Music at YouTube.
