However, the Bronx-native is not one to shy away from controversy even if it involves a symbol that he helped make a global brand. Recently, the luxury fashion house Balenciaga was called out by Swizz Beatz for the unlicensed usage of the Ruff Ryders logo on one of their garments. Balenciaga debuted the shirt during their Men’s Fashion Week “Spring 2018” runway show in Paris. A male model wore a shirt strikingly similar to a Ruff Ryders shirt produced back in 2000.
