50 Cent’s investment in EFFEN Vodka turned out to be a lucrative one. Earlier this week, it was announced that the “Power” executive producer had sold his minority stake in the liquor brand for $60 million. As some wondered “why would he sell his stake if it was making him money,” 50 Cent soon commented on Instagram that those rumors were false. In fact, he stated that he’s still working with EFFEN. “I’m still on the brand I just got some cake out the deal.” The owners of EFFEN Vodka, Beam Suntory, also confirmed to The Drinks Business that 50 is still involved with the company. “Contrary to any inaccurate media reports, EFFEN Vodka’s partnership with 50 Cent continues,” the statement read. 50’s partnership with EFFEN Vodka began in 2014.
